There is something about Europe, something about traveling with my Michael that renews me. Maybe it's the open-air markets that they have?
Perhaps it's the grand buildings?
Or the churches? I LOVE the churches.
Or perhaps it's the occasional grand bridge. It's called the "bridge of sighs" and though it's a sigh of different sorts, that's still my reaction.
Perhaps it's the chance to sit on a punting boat with a loved one.
Perhaps one like this?
Perhaps it's the ability to just sit back and relax enough to enjoy the simple things, even if you can't quite put your finger on any one thing in particular.
Maybe it's the fact that church steeples seem so common placed.
Nope. I think it HAS to be the church windows. Definitely the church windows.
Regardless, there is something about Europe, whether it be England, Germany, Italy or France... any place in Europe, and even for just a few days... there is SOMETHING about it that renews me and reminds me how wonderful it is to have found my soul mate... My partner for life's adventures. My co-Pirate in this Treasuter Hunt.
That's so cool! Glad you had fun. I love Gothic archways and windows.
ReplyDeleteYour "church" and your "church steeple" are the St John's College chapel - close enough - but your "church windows" are part of New Court St. John's. Oh, and the Bridge of Sighs is part of St John's College too. You have great taste in colleges.
